Christa Justus’ Debut CD Throw It To the Wind to Be Released June 8

PS Classics will release Christa Justus’ debut CD Throw It To the Wind on June 8. Andrew Gerle has served as musical director and arranger for this compilation of songs by Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire.

The 14-track disc features such tunes as “I Chose Right,” “A Girl You Should Know,” “You and the Sky,” “Life Story,” and “Dancing All the Time.” Performing alongside Justus are Aaron Weinstein (violin & mandolin), Roni Ben Hur (guitar), Yasushi Nakamura (bass), Marion Felder (drums,) Cyrus Beroukhim (violin), and Victor Goines (clarinet).

Justus’ Broadway and national tour credits include Les Misérables and Titanic. She was nominated for a Barrymore Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance in Pal Joey at the Prince Music Theatre in Philadelphia. She has appeared in several Maltby & Shire productions including their latest musical Take Flight at the O’Neill Musical Theater Conference, Manhattan Theatre Club and St. Petersburg, Russia as well as workshop productions of their Tony Award-winning Broadway hit, Baby.
