Antonio Banderas to Star in Pedro Almodovar’s New Film La piel que habito

Antonio Banderas will star in Pedro Almodovar’s new film La piel que habito, according to a report in Variety. The movie is a loose adaptation of Thierry Jonquet’s 1995 novel Mygale.
The film focuses on on a plastic surgeon who avenges his daughter’s rape.
Banderas starred on Broadway in Nine, receiving a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award. Among his many film credits are Evita, Shrek 2, The Mask of Zorro, And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, and The House of the Spirits, as well as Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, also directed by Almodovar.
