Al Maysles, Rosie O’Donnell, et al. to Participate in 92nd Street Y Panel on Documentaries

Broadway veteran and television personality Rosie O’Donnell will be among the panelists for Why Documentaries Matter, to be held at the 92nd Street & on Wednesday, May 26 at 8:15pm.

Sheila Nevins will lead the panel, which will also include documentary filmmakers Al Maysles, Alexandra Pelosi, DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus.

O’Donnell produced the documentaries A Family is A Family Is A Family and All Aboard! Rosie’s Family Cruise. She also produced the Broadway production of Taboo, and acted in the Broadway productions of Seussical, Fiddler on the Roof, and Grease. Her other stage credits include No, No Nanette and the original cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She is best known for her television work, including The Rosie O’Donnell Show and her co-hosting stint on The View.
