Actor Larry French Dies at 58

Actor Larry French died on Friday, May 28 of a massive heart attack. He was 58 years old.

French's many stage credits included Brigadoon, Camelot, Evita, The Pirate of Penzance, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, The King and I, Kiss Me, Kate, Sweeney Todd, Guys and Dolls, The Merchant of Venice, The Seagull, and Master Class.

He also sang with Alaska Light Opera and the Baltimore Symphony. An active supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, he most recently appeared in the 2010 Easter Bonnet Competition.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Lehman French of New York City, and his mother, Bernice French, of Dallas, Texas.

There will be a memorial service at 4pm on Monday, June 7, at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, in New York City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Actors Fund of America.
