Rock of Ages Cast to Perform on The Today Show May 25

The cast of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages will perform three numbers as part of the Toyota Concert Series on NBC’s The Today Show, on May 25.

Rock of Ages is nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Written by Chris D’Arienzo and directed by Kristin Hanggi, it focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. It incorporates the music of such classic rock bands as Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, and Whitesnake.

The cast will perform Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Damn Yankees!’s “High Enough,” and Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again.” In addition, stars Constantine Maroulis and Amy Spanger will be interviewed.
