Robert De Niro and Edward Norton will star in the film, Stone, according to Variety.

The film will feature a screenplay by Angus MacLachlan, about a correctional officer seduced by the wife of a prisoner up for parole. John Curran will direct.

De Niro began his acting career in the theater, and appeared on Broadway in the 1986 play, Cuba & His Teddy Bear, for which he received a Theatre World Award. Norton recently co-hosted Soho Repertory's spring gala, and has appeared onstage in Burn This and Fragments (A Concerto Grosso).
