The New York Public Library will present a screening of Looking Back on John Osborne, starring the late Natasha Richardson and Michael Sheen in a program of readings from the plays and journals of the great British playwright at 3pm on Saturday, May 9.

This program was presented live at the Performing Arts Library in April 2007. Critic John Heilpern, who was part of the original program, will be present to introduce the screening and talk about his 25-year friendship with Richardson, who passed away in March after a skiing accident.

Richadson appeared numerous times on Broadway and the West End, and won the Tony Award for her role as Sally Bowles in the Roundabout Theatre’s revival of Cabaret. Her other credits included Anna Christie, Closer and A Streetcar Named Desire. Sheen is best known for playing David Frost in both the stage and film versions of Frost/Nixon.
