Glee With Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele Gets May 19 Airing

Ryan Murphy’s new series Glee, starring Matthew Morrison as a Spanish teacher who directs a high school choir (whose members include fellow Broadway veteran Lea Michele), will get its initial airing on Tuesday, May 19 following FOX-TV’s American Idol. The series will then return for a regular un in September.

Morrison’s Broadway credits include South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, Hairspray, and A Naked Girl on the Appian Way. Michele’s Broadway credits include Spring Awakening and Ragtime.

Murphy is best known as the executive producer, writer, and director of FX’s Nip/Tuck and the director of the film version of Running With Scissors.
