Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Baranski will host Manhattan Theatre Club’s annual spring gala, to be held at Cipriani 42nd Street, on May 18 at 7 pm.

The show will include numbers from several of this season’s musicals, including Billy Elliot, The Devil’s Music, 9 to 5: The Musical, Shrek The Musical, West Side Story, and others. The evening will also include a silent auction, followed by dinner.

This black-tie benefit will honor Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for its longtime support of and commitment to the organization. Proceeds from the evening will benefit MTC’s play and musical theatre development programs and its extensive educational outreach programs.

Baranski starred last season in the Broadway revival of Boeing-Boeing. She won her Tonys for The Real Thing and Rumours and starred in noted regional productions of Sweeney Todd and Mame. In addition, Baranski starred as Tanya in the hit film version of the musical Mamma Mia! and is known nationwide for her Emmy Award-winning work as Maryann on the sitcom Cybill.

Individual tickets start at $1,000. For more information, call 212-399-3000, ext. 4346 or visit www.manhattantheatreclub.com/gala.
