Barbara Cook to Perform with New York Philharmonic on May 30

Tony Award winner Barbara Cook will perform with the New York Philharmonic at 8pm on Saturday, May 30 at Avery Fisher Hall. The orchestra will be conducted by Lee Musiker. A previously announced concert on June 2 has been canceled, due to a schedule conflict.

Cook will perform many of the songs from Here’s to Life, her recent engagement at Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency, including “Hallelujah, I Love Him So,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” and “Send in the Clowns.” She will return to the club, June 18-20.

Other selections for the concert will include “It Might As Well Be Spring” from State Fair and songs from The Music Man for which she won the Tony Award.

Cook’s numerous Broadway shows include Plain and Fancy, Flahooley, She Loves Me, and Candide. She recently released her newest CD, Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder.
