Deborah Findlay to Star in Vincent River

Olivier Award-winning actress Deborah Findlay and newcomer Mark Field will star in the New York premiere of Philip Ridley’s Vincent River. The play will be presented as part of Brits Off Broadway at 59E59 Theaters from June 10-29, with an opening set for June 15. Steve Marmion will direct.


The play focuses on the meeting between a grief-stricken mother and a young boy who is in some way connected to the death of her son.


Findlay received an Olivier Award and the Outer Critics’ Circle Award for her performance in Stanley, and an Obie as part of the original cast of Caryl Churchill’s Top Girls. Field’s credits include An Inspector Calls (Australian tour), When Five Years Pass, and Carrie’s War. He will be seen in the upcoming feature film Brideshead Revisited.


Ridley’s previous plays include The Pitchfork Disney, The Fastest Clock In The Universe, Ghost from a Perfect Place, Leaves of Glass, and Mercury Fur.
