Bandhu, Robins, Shaud, et al. Cast in EST Marathon Series B

Casting has been announced for Series B of Ensemble Studio Theatre’s annual series of one-acts, Marathon 2008, to be performed May 23-June 20.

Laila Robins and Grant Shaud will star in Neil LaBute’s The Great War, directed by Andrew McCarthy. Taylor Mac’s dark comedy, Okay, will be directed by Jose Zayas, and feature Jessica Jade Andres, Kether Donohue, Susannah Flood, Danny Fernandez, Travis Hsieh, Olivia Mandell, and Johnny Pruit.

Happy Birthday William Abernathy, by Lloyd Suh, is directed by Deborah Hedwall, with Joe Paneseki and Peter Kim in the cast. David Zellnik’s Ideogram, directed by Abigail Zealey Bess, will star Pun Bandhu, Bryan Fenkart, and Siho Ellsmore. Gio Perez and Amelia McLain will star in October/November by Anne Washburn, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll.

Series C (June 6-June 28) will include Lewis Black’s In Between Songs; Michael Feingold’s Japanoir; Frank D. Gilroy’s Piscary; Jose Rivera’s Flowers; and Jacquelyn Reingold’s A Very Very Short Play. Casting will be announced at a later date.
