Can one of the worst films of all time become one of the best musicals of the 21st Century? Broadway audiences are currently answering that question at Xanadu, a drastic reworking of the notorious Olivia Newton-John stinker about a Greek muse who comes to earth to help a struggling artist open a California roller disco. At a recent press rehearsal for the show, Brian Scott Lipton talked to the show's author Douglas Carter Beane and stars Kerry Butler, James Carpinello, Tony Roberts, and Mary Testa.
