Annabella Sciorra Set for From Riverdale to Riverhead

Stage and screen star Annabella Sciorra will join Catherine Curtin, Ken Forman, Bess Rous, and Angelica Torn in the world premiere of Anatasia Traina’s From Riverdale to Riverheard, to play May 30-June 23 at Studio Dante. The production, to open officially on June 2, will be directed by Nick Sandow.

The story focuses on four women who set out during the biggest snowstorm of the year to visit one of the woman’s sons in jail. Traina’s previous work includes In Audela and Mermaids on the Hudson.

The show’s creative team includes Victoria Imperioli (sets and costumes), Tony Giovanetti (lighting), and David M. Lawson (sound). Sandow’s previous directorial credits at Studio Dante include Ponies, Chicken, Henry Flamethrowa, and Dark Yellow.

Sciorra’s previous stage credits include Roar, Under the Blue Sky, and Those the River Keeps. Her many film and television credits include Jungle Fever, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and The Sopranos, for which she received an Emmy Award nomination.
