Linda Hamilton to Headline Berkshire Theatre Festival’s The Night of the Iguana

Film and television star Linda Hamilton will play Maxine Faulk in the Berskhire Theatre Festival’s production of Tennesee Williams’s The Night of the Iguana, August 1-12.

The production, to be directed by Anders Cato, will also star Aya Cash (Charlotte Goodall), Garrett Dillahunt (Reverend Shannon), Sam Kitchin (Jake Latta), Charlotte Meier (Judith Fellows), Bill Swan (Nonno), and Robin Weigert (Hannah Jelkes). The Night of the Iguana is about a defrocked priest wrestling with his demons. First produced in 1961, with Bette Davis as Maxine and Margaret Leighton as Hannah, the play has had three Broadway revivals. The 1964 film version, directed by John Huston, starred Richard Burton, Ava Gardner, and Deborah Kerr.

Hamilton is best known for her performance as Sara Connor in The Terminator and its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Her many other film credits include Missing in America, The Kid and I, and Smile. She received the Cable Ace Award for the TV movie A Mother’s Prayer and an Emmy Award nomination for her series Beauty and the Beast.
