Gets, Lenox, McDonald, O’Hara, Schaffel, et al. Set for BAM’s Sundance Theatre Songbook

Matt Cavenaugh, Darius de Haas, Sara Gettelfinger, Malcolm Gets, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Adriane Lenox, Kelli O’Hara, and Marla Schaffel will be among the performers at The Sundance Theatre Songbook, to be held at 8pm on Monday, May 15 at the BAMcafe. Audra McDonald will host this special event, which will be directed by Ted Sperling.

The show is part of The Sundance Institute at BAM series of programs, panel discussions, and screenings, May 11-21. The evening will salute the work of over 15 composers and lyricists who have participated in the famed Sundance Theatre Labs: Mark Bennett, Jessica Hagedorn, Mark Campbell, Steven Lutvak, Kirsten Childs, Christopher Drobny, Scott Frankel, Michael Korie, Michael Friedman, Jenny Giering, Ricky Ian Gordon, Steven Lutvak, Andrew Lippa, Duncan Sheik, Steven Sater, Michael Torke, and Sterwart Wallace.

Other performers for the evening include Cheryl Freeman, Mandy Gonzalez, Trey Lyford, Valerie MacCarthy, Caitlin Miller, David Reiser, Daniel Torres, and Bill Youmans. Pianists include John DePinto, Dan Lipton, Brendan Milburn, and James Sampliner.
