Duncan, Hopkins, McKechnie, Sills, Viviano, et al. Set for The Songs and Music of Glen Roven

Sandy Duncan, Kaitlin Hopkins, Donna McKechnie, Douglas Sills, and Sal Viviano will participate in I Hate Music – The Songs and Music of Glen Roven at 7pm on Thursday, May 25 at the New York City LGBT Community Center (208 West 13th Street).

The show is part of the Center’s “Queer Songbook” series and will also feature Noah Galvin, classical violinist Ittai Shapira, and the “I Hate Music” choir, composed of young Broadway performers.

A songwriter, conductor, and producer, Roven has contributed music to such plays as Lydie Breeze and A, My Name Is Alice. He was worked with such performers as Julie Andrews, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Liza Minnelli, and Frank Sinatra. Roven recently wrote a violin concerto based on the children’s book, The Runaway Bunny, and has two musicals in development, Dr Seuss’ The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T and Pandora’s Box. He is also a four-time Emmy Award winner for his television work.
