Cahoon, DeLaria, Felciano, Hoffman, Le Loka, McKay to Play Joe’s Pub

A number of current and past Broadway stars, including Kevin Cahoon of The Wedding Singer and Nellie McKay of The Threepenny Opera, will play Joe’s Pub in the coming months.

McKay, who has won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of Polly Peachum, will play the club on Sundays, May 28 and June 4, 11 and 18 at 11:30pm. Her debut album, Get Away From Me, was a big commercial and critical success.

Sweeney Todd star Manoel Felciano, who received a Tony Award nomination this week for his performance as Tobias, returns to the Pub on Sunday, June 4 at 7pm. Cahoon, who plays George in The Wedding Singer, will team up with his band Ghetto Cowboy on Sunday, June 25 at 11:30pm. The following night, June 26, at 7pm, former Hairspray star Jackie Hoffman will appear with stage legend Julie Wilson and others in a show titled Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of Cabaret.

Tsidii Le Loka, the original Rafiki in The Lion King, will play at Joe’s on Sunday, July 16 at 9:30pm. Finally, Lea DeLaria, whose Broadway credits include On the Town and The Rocky Horror Show, will join The Dirty Martinis for four shows, August 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 11:30pm.
