Baldwin, Charles, Snow-Wilson, et al. Join Cast of Paper Mill’s Hello, Dolly!

Kate Baldwin, Walter Charles, Jonathan Rayson, Brian Sears, and Jessica Snow-Wilson have joined star Tovah Feldshuh in the cast of the upcoming Paper Mill Playhouse production of the 1964 Jerry Herman-Michael Stewart musical Hello, Dolly!. Directed by Mark S. Hoebee, the production will run June 7-July 23 and will open officially on June 10.

Also in the cast are Jennifer Allen, Brian Barry, Nova Bergeron, Ryan Patrick Binder, Heather Carino, Nigel Columbus, Marisa Joy Ganz, Andrew Gehling, Ben Hartley, Margot LaBarre, Denis Lambert, Lauren Marcus, Leisa Mather, Anna McNeely, Christopher T. Noffke, Dennis O’Bannion, Benjie Randall, Roger Preston Smith, William Solo, Brandon Tyler, Lael Van Keuren Mindy Wallace, and Ryan Thomas Worsing. The show’s creative team include Mia Michaels (choreography), Michael Anania (set design), James Schuette (costume design), Charlie Morrison (lighting design), Randy Hanson (sound design), and Bettie Rogers (hair, wig, and make-up design).

Baldwin, who will play Irene Molloy, has appeared on Broadway in Wonderful Town and Off-Broadway in Bush Is Bad! Charles, who will play Horace Vandergelder, has been seen in such Broadway shows as Sweeney Todd, La Cage aux Folles, and The Woman in White. Rayson, who will play Cornelius Hackl, has starred on Broadway in A Year With Frog and Toad and Little Shop of Horrors. Sears, who will play Barnaby Tucker, appeared on Broadway in All Shook Up and played the role of Barnaby last summer opposite Michele Lee. Snow-Wilson, who will play Minnie Fay, has been seen on Broadway in Little Shop of Horrors and Good Vibrations.

Feldshuh is a four-time Tony Award nominee for her work in Golda’s Balcony, Lend Me a Tenor, Yentl, and Sarava. She has also appeared on Broadway in Cyrano and in the revue Rodgers & Hart. Her film and television credits include Kissing Jessica Stein, Law & Order, and Holocaust.

Based on The Matchmaker, by Thornton Wilder, Hello, Dolly! was originally directed by Gower Champion and starred Carol Channing. Among the other stars who played Dolly during the 2,844 peformance run were Pearl Bailey, Phyllis Diller, and Ethel Merman. The show has returned to Broadway three times since the original production closed, twice with Channing and once with Bailey.
