Lucie Arnaz, Jonathan Pryce, Judy Kaye, Sutton Foster, and Darlene Love are among the notables scheduled to participate in Stars in the Alley on June 7 at 11am. The free concert of musical numbers from Broadway shows is held annually in Shubert Alley to celebrate the end of the theater season. This year’s edition will also feature appearances by Cynthia Nixon, Kate Burton, Oliver Platt, Ian McDiarmid, and other stars of non-musical Broadway productions.

This concert will include numbers from Avenue Q, Chicago, The Color Purple, The Drowsy Chaperone, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, The Light in the Piazza, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, Rent, Spamalot, Sweeney Todd, The Wedding Singer, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and more, as well as appearances by cast members of several other shows.

A special Broadway prize package will be raffled during the event. Also, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels stars Arnaz and Pryce will present the annual Star Award, which recognizes an individual in public or government service who has demonstrated significant support for Broadway. This year’s award is being given to Christine C. Quinn, Speaker of the City Council.

Stars in the Alley is presented by Continental Airlines and produced by the League of American Theatres and Producers. Shubert Alley is located west of Broadway between 44th and 45th Streets; for this event, the public entrance will be at 45th Street. For further information, visit www.starsinthealley.com.
