Some of Broadway’s biggest names will converge upon Shubert Alley (located west of Broadway between 44th and 45th streets) for the free annual concert Stars in the Alley. Featuring performances by cast members of Broadways’s most popular musicals, the celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 2, beginning at 11:30am.

Although the names of the participating performers have not yet been released, shows to be represented this year include Assassins, Avenue Q, Bombay Dreams, The Boy From Oz, Caroline, Or Change, Chicago, Fiddler On The Roof, 42nd Street, Hairspray, Little Shop Of Horrors, Mamma Mia!, Movin’ Out, Rent, The Lion King, The Phantom Of The Opera, The Producers, Wicked, and Wonderful Town, as well as A Raisin in the Sun, I Am My Own Wife, and other non-musicals.

Produced by The League of American Theatres and Producers and presented by Continental Airlines, Stars in the Alley is free and open to the public. Attendees should enter Shubert Alley from 44th Street. During the event, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will be honored with the 11th annual Star Award, bestowed upon individuals and organizations that have demonstrated significant support for the Broadway theater.
