The Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), in association with the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center, will host a special discussion with Rob Marshall, director of the Academy Award-winning film Chicago, and John DeLuca, his partner and choreographic supervisor, on Tuesday, May 13 from 6:30pm to 8pm as part of its “One-on-One Conversations” series. The event will be held at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre (304 West 47th Street) in Manhattan; admission is $12 for the general public and $10 for SDCF members.

The SCDF has also been announced that Adam Belcuore, an early career director from Chicago, has been chosen as the first recipient of the foundation’s Mike Ockrent Fellowship in Musical Theatre. For his fellowship, Belcuore will be mentored by the legendary director Hal Prince on the upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim’s Bounce at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre. Belcuore is an original founding member of Serendipity Theatre Company and currently its artistic director. The SDCF fellowship — named after director Mike Ockrent, who staged Big, Crazy for You, and Me and My Girl on Broadway — allows the recipient to take part in all aspects of production, from conceptual and design meetings through rehearsals and previews.
