Boomerang to Present Henry IV in the Parks

Boomerang Theatre Company will kick off its new season with William Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part One, to be presented free of charge in New York City parks this summer.

Shakespeare’s classic history play depicts the struggle of King Henry IV to maintain his power in the face of revolution while his son, Prince Hal, rejects his father and his family but cannot help but be drawn into his father’s struggles. The Boomerang production will be directed by Kate Ross and will feature fight choreography by Andrew Blasenak. The cast will include Andrew Blasenak, William Broderick, Zack Calhoon, Ronald Cohen, Jordana Davis, Dennis Demitry, Philip Emeott, David Godbey, Bert Gurin, Travis Horseman, Gary Lamadore, Linda S. Nelson, and Ron Sanborn.

Henry IV, Part One will play weekends from July 14 through July 27 at the following locations: June 14 & 15 and July 26 & 27 in Central Park (69th Street and Central Park West); June 21 & 22 and June 28 & 29 at Riverside Park (108th Street and Riverside Drive); July 12 & 13 at Prospect Park (3rd Street and Prospect Park West in the Long Meadow); and July 19 & 20 at Washington Market Park (Chambers Street and Duane Street).
