Alex Cohen Memorial Service Set

By New York City
A memorial service for the legendary producer Alexander H. Cohen will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at 11am at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, 230 West 49th Street. The O'Neill is the home of Cohen's 101st and final Broadway production: Noel Coward's Waiting in the Wings, starring Lauren Bacall and Rosemary Harris.

Cohen, who was 79 at the time of his death on April 22, was recently recognized in the millennium issue of Variety as one of the ten most important producers of the 20th century. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Hildy Parks; his daughter, Barbara Hoffmann; his sons, Christopher and Gerry; his grandson, Brock Pernise; and his great-granddaughter, Mia.

The memorial service is open to the public.
