Kevin Lamb, a new play written by Matthew-Lee Erlbach (Eager to Lose), will receive a reading produced by the Vineyard Theatre at the DR2 Theatre on Monday, April 21 at 3pm. The cast will feature Margo Seibert, who currently stars as Adrian in the Broadway production of Rocky, along with Adriane Lenox of Broadway's After Midnight, Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride), Sheldon Best (The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner), and Peter Francis James (The Merchant of Venice). Tony nominee Michael Berresse ([title of show]) directs.

The play takes place on Christmas Eve on Chicago's North Side. Racial tensions run high as two families cope with a deadly altercation between a white University of Chicago professor and a young black student, Kevin Lamb.

Matthew-Lee Erlbach's most recent writing credits include Eager to Lose, a Burlesque in Rhyming Verse, which enjoyed an extended run off-Broadway at Ars Nova, and his solo piece, Handbook for an American Revolutionary, which he performed in a 2013 run at the Gym at Judson.
