59E59 Theaters will present the U.S. premiere of Chalk Farm, written by Kieran Hurley and AJ Taudevin, as part of Brits Off Broadway from May 21-June 8, with a press opening set for May 28. Neil Bettles directs.

Chalk Farm centers on the aftermath of the 2011 London riots and offers an uncompromising look at a fractured society. The plot follows the relationship between a single mother and her teenage son, which is tested when she confronts him about his involvement in the looting of the Chalk Farm Estates.

A production of ThickSkin, the play premiered at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and subsequently transferred to London's Bush Theatre as part of the Radar Festival this past fall.

The cast features Thomas Dennis and Julia Taudevin. The design team includes Simon Wilkinson (lighting design) and Neil Bettles (production design).

Director Neil Bettles is cofounder and artistic director of ThickSkin.
