Award-winning composer and lyricist Joe Iconis (NBC's Smash) will perform at New World Stages on Monday, May 5, as part of Murder for Two's concert series Murderous Musical Mondays. Iconis and his "merry band of musical theater punks" will perform new songs and fan favorites for the audience following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two.

Iconis will bring his unique combination of showtune cabaret and rock-and-roll jamboree to the theater, performing some of his own songs as well as stripped-down versions of well-known numbers. The concert will feature Liz Lark Brown, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Seth Eliser, Lauren Marcus, Lance Rubin, Jared Weiss, Jason SweetTooth Williams, Jeremy Morse, and more performers to be announced.

Murderous Musical Mondays take place every other Monday through June. Upcoming concerts will feature the works of Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Ryan Cunningham and Josh Salzman, and the Pace New Musicals Writers' Room, curated by Ryan Scott Oliver. Past concerts have featured Murder for Two star Brett Ryback, Alexander Sage Oyen, and Ryan Scott Oliver.

Murder for Two recently extended its off-Broadway engagement at New World Stages through July 6. The musical whodunit, featuring book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair, and direction by Scott Schwartz, stars Brett Ryback and Jeff Blumenkrantz.

Admission to the concert is free to all those with tickets to the May 5 performance.
