Complete casting has been announced for the world premiere of Nicky Silver's Too Much Sun, starring Tony winner Linda Lavin, at the Vineyard Theatre. Lavin will now be joined by Ken Barnett (Wonderful Town), Richard Bekins (Somewhere Fun), Matt Dellapina (Outside People), Matt Dickson (War Horse), and Jennifer Westfeldt (The Library).

Directed by Mark Brokaw, the play follows Audrey Langham (Lavin), a celebrated actress who unravels as she prepares for a new production of Medea. She decides to escape by indulging in a summer by the sea with her married daughter who does not extend the warmest of welcomes. Langham instead sets off a chain of harrowing and hilarious events that lead to an unforgettable summer.

Too Much Sun reunites Lavin and Silver, who worked together during the 2012 production of The Lyons at the Vineyard Theatre. The production's creative team features scenic design by Donyale Werle, lighting design by David Lander, costume design by Michael Krass, and sound design by David Van Tieghem.

Too Much Sun begins previews on May 1 in advance of a May 18 opening.
