Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's You Can't Take It With You will return to Broadway for the first time in more than 30 years in a production starring Tony winner James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal's The Best Man). The play will be directed by six-time Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis (The Mystery of Edwin Drood). You Can't Take It With You is set to begin previews in August 2014, with an opening planned for September 28 at a Shubert theater to be announced.

You Can't Take It with You centers on two families: the Sycamores and the Kirbys. The worlds of the two clans collide when their children become engaged. The play originally opened at the Booth Theater in 1936 and won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

James Earl Jones won Tony Awards for his performances in The Great White Hope and Fences. He has been nominated for his work in Gore Vidal's The Best Man and On Golden Pond. Jones is also an award-winning film and television actor known for his voice work in films such as The Lion King and Star Wars. He was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Oscar in 2011.
