The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that costume designer Jane Greenwood will be this year's recipient for the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre. The award will be presented at the 2014 Tony Awards on June 8.

Jane Greenwood has designed costumes for over 125 productions on Broadway, including Once Upon a Mattress, The Little Foxes, Master Class, Passion, Medea, Plenty, Heartbreak House, The Iceman Cometh, Ah, Wilderness!, Long Day's Journey Into Night, and Our Town.

She has received 15 Tony Award nominations for her work as well as the Irene Sharaff Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, the Helen Hayes Award, and The Lilly Award. Greenwood is also a professor at Yale School of Drama.

As previously announced, the Tony Awards will be hosted by Hugh Jackman and broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall, on the CBS television network.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
