Brian Stokes Mitchell and More Will Join Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater This Summer in Much Ado About Nothing

Additional casting has been announced for Jack O'Brien's upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing. Part of the Public Theater's free summer season at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, the production runs from June 3-July 6, with opening night set for June 16.

As previously reported, the comedy will star Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater as Beatrice and Benedick. They will be joined by Tony winners Brian Stokes Mitchell and John Glover as Don Pedro and Leonato, respectively, along with John Pankow as Dogberry, Pedro Pascal as Don John, Steel Burkhardt as Balthasar, Austin Durant as Friar Francis and Sexton, David Manis as Antonio and Verges, Kathryn Meisle as Ursula, Ismenia Mendes as Hero, Eric Sheffer Stevens as Borachio, and Zoë Winters as Margaret. The non-equity ensemble includes Matt Bittner, Alex Breaux, Paco Lozano, and Matthew Russell.

Much Ado About Nothing features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jane Greenwood, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by ACME Sound Partners, and original music by David Yazbek.

Tickets to The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park are free and distributed, two per person, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on the day of the show. Since 1962, over 5 million people have enjoyed free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joe Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, Shakespeare in the Park continues to increase access to theater and engage the community.
