Full casting has been announced for the world premiere of Kenyon Phillips' autobiographical rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, which will play at Joe's Pub on May 2. In addition to the previously announced Michael Musto, David Cale, Flotilla DeBarge, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Chaske Spencer, and Todd English, the cast will include Brad Calcaterra, Marlon Taylor-Wiles, Vanessa Walters, Geoffrey Sobelle, T Bruin, Aurora Black, Alisha Judge, Joanna Pickering, Justin Sams, and Cheryl Freeman.

The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips uses an interactive rock-cabaret-variety-show format to tell the story of one colorful New Yorker's life and eventual death.

Phillips is a singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ. In addition to founding and fronting the bands Roma!, Unisex Salon, and Thrill A Minute, Kenyon has written and produced songs for Amy Poehler, Joey Arias, Raven O, and Sherry Vine. Backed by his all-girl band The Ladies In Waiting, Kenyon regularly performs at Joe's Pub. His debut solo EP Fire in the Hole was released in September 2013.
