UPDATED — Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Anything Goes) and stage veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) will announce the 2013 Tony Award nominations on April 30 live from the New York Library for the Performing Arts' Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center at Lincoln Center.
March 18 — The 67th Annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT. The Tony Awards honor Broadway theater professionals for distinguished achievement. The ceremony has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The awards are a co-presentation of the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
The official cut-off date for eligibility in the 2012-2013 season is Thursday, April 25, 2013. Productions meeting all eligibility requirements and open on or before the eligibility date are considered for 2013 Tony Award nominations.
Nominations for the 2013 Tonys will be announced live from New York City on Tuesday, April 30.
A limited number of tickets to the telecast will be made available to the general public. They can be purchased at www.TonyAwards.com beginning on April 30.
The June 2011 broadcast of the 65th Annual Tony Awards received four 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Special Class Program, Outstanding Art Direction for Variety or Nonfiction Programming, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.
