The Metropolitan Museum of Art will present a panel discussion including fashion consultant and TV personality Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as well as some of theater's most respected costume designers discussing the ways in which painting and other visual art serve as inspiration in their work. The event will take place April 24 at The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, inside the Met.

Janie Bryant is an Emmy Award winner who has worked on television's Deadwood and Mad Men. Five-time Tony Award winner Catherine Zuber's costumes have appeared in Broadway's South Pacific and The Light in the Piazza.

Julie Taymor received Tony Awards for Best Direction and Best Costume Design for her work on the popular Broadway musical The Lion King. She has also directed productions of such plays and operas as The Green Bird, Titus Andronicus, and The Flying Dutchman. Her screen credits include Frida, The Tempest, and Across the Universe.
