Epic Theatre Ensemble veteran James Wallert will lead the cast of the organization's production of William Shakespeare's Richard III: Born With Teeth, a contemporary retelling of the historical drama, to be directed by Ron Russell. The production begins previews on April 16 in advance of an April 20 opening at the Pershing Square Signature Center. It will run through May 4.

Simmons, Jr. (Edward), James Joseph O'Neil (Buckingham), Michael Kirby (Rivers), Rhett Henckel (Clarence), and Devin E. Haqq (Catesby). The design team is comprised of Mikiko Suzuki MacAdams (sets), Cat Tate Starmer (lighting), Margaret E. Weedon (costumes), and Ron Russell (sound).
Following each performance will be a discussion about the show led by scholars and authors including Jonathan Alter, Keith Josef Adkins, John McWhorter, and actress Tonya Pinkins, among others. An exact schedule can be found here.
