Remember when the great Nathan Lane and the late, great Gregory Hines hosted the Tony Awards? The year was 1995. Lane was a wee one, having recently set the theater world ablaze with his performances in Guys and Dolls and Love! Valour! Compassion! Hines was an established theater veteran, already a Tony winner for his performance in Jelly's Last Jam. It was a match made in Broadway heaven.

Hines died of liver cancer in 2003 and the theater world was robbed of an enormous talent. Lane is still setting the theater world ablaze, currently in The Nance, Douglas Carter Beane's drama about homosexuality in the world of 1930s New York City. In honor of his opening night on Monday, April 15, we give you the pair in their fine, paying tribute to the great songs of Broadway's leading ladies.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to see Broadway's favorite gents dance "The Music and the Mirror," this video is "for you!"
