Beau Bridges (How to Succeed in Business…), Michael McKean (The Best Man), Jean Smart (Fit to be Tied), and Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live) will participate in a one-night-only benefit reading of Matt Hoverman's The Glint on April 22 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Broadway veteran Michael Mastro (West Side Story) will direct.
The Glint is a humorous look at a couple of older adults who still feel and think like teenagers. Jerry and Chuck chase their dreams and younger women while Chuck's wife Mary looks on.
The evening will benefit Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides eleven free long-term, after-school theater programs to New York City's most underserved public high schools. The evening will mark the organizations 7th benefit play reading.
