VIDEO FLASH: Ricky Martin, Elena Roger Perform on ABC’s Good Morning America

The stars of the Broadway revival of Evita — Ricky Martin as Che, Elena Roger as Eva, and Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón — appeared alongside other members of the cast on ABC’s Good Morning America on Thursday, April 12, live from Times Square. During the appearance, the company offered performances of “High Flying Adored” and “Buenos Aires.”
In addition to the presentation of two musical numbers, Cerveris, Martin, and Roger discussed the musical, which is currently playing at the Marquis Theatre, directed by Michael Grandage.
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita tells the story of Argentina’s Eva Peron, who used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. She won international acclaim and adoration from her own people as a champion of the poor, while glamour, power and greed made her the world’s first major political celebrity.
In related news, it has been announced today that the show will receive a new cast album from Masterworks Broadway. The recording will be released on June 19.
