Tommy Walker Joins Principal Cast of NEWsical the Musical

Tommy Walker will join the principal cast of NEWSical the Musical: End of the World Edition, performing at the Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row, beginning on Friday, April 6. He replaces John Walton West, who played his final performance on April 4.
In composer-lyricist Rick Crom’s musical revue of all the most talked-about headlines of the day, satirical spoofs of the most up-to-the-minute newsmakers and celebrities are added on a regular basis.
Walker has been a swing in NEWSical since 2009. Among the characters he portrays in the show are Newt Gingrich, Antonio Banderas, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Stewart and Carson Kressley.
Among the actor’s previous stage credits are Bus Stop, Evil Dead: The Musical, The Seagull, The Heroics, and Titanic. Walker is also the lead singer for NYC rock band SWEET FIX.
Mark Waldrop directs the production, which also features Christine Pedi, Christina Bianco, Michael West, and Amy Griffin.
