Reed Birney, Maria Dizzia, Jayne Houdyshell Set for Welcome Mat Reading Series

Partial Comfort Productions has announced casting for its previously reported 8th annual Welcome Mat Reading Series of new plays, to be staged at Atlantic Theater Company’s Studio Theater.
The series will begin with Nick Jones’ Trevor (April 16), directed by Lila Neugebauer, and starring Tony nominee Jayne Houdyshell, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Drama Desk winner Heidi Schreck, Christopher Evan Welch, Crystal Finn, Frank Harts, and Jeff Biehl.
Daniel Aukin will direct The Old Masters (April 23) by Sam Marks, starring Greg Keller, Tony nominee Maria Dizzia, and Danielle Slavick.
Davis McCallum will direct Chad Beckim’s The What? (April 29), starring Drama Desk winner Reed Birney, Greg Keller, and Crystal Finn.
The series will conclude with Jonathan Caren’s The Morning the Sun Fell Down (May 7), to be directed by Mia Rovegno and feature Cynthia Silver, Jackie Chung, Andrew Garman, and Dylan Dawson.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservation required. All readings will take place at 7:30 pm.
