PHOTO FLASH: John Rando Visits Silence! The Musical

Tony Award-winning director John Rando attended a recent performance of Silence! The Musical, currently performing at The 9th Space Theatre at PS 122.
With a book by Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, this unauthorized parody of the thriller Silence of the Lambs is directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.
The production stars David Garrison (Hannibal Lecter), Jenn Harris (Clarice Starling), and Stephen Bienskie (Buffalo Bill). The cast also features Callan Bergmann, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupré, Deidre Goodwin, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio, Kimberly Stern, Pamela Bob, and Doug Trapp. Music Supervisor is Mark Hartman, with orchestrations by Brian J. Nash.
Rando won a Tony for his direction of Urinetown. He is currently directing the City Center Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which will run May 9 – 13 at New York City Center.
