The pair have co-starred on stage in Classic Stage Company's productions of Uncle Vanya and Three Sisters. Gyllenhaal has also been seen on stage in Homebody/Kabul and Sarsgaard starred in Ian Rickson's Broadway production of The Seagull.

Gyllenhaal received an Oscar nomination for Crazy Heart, and her many other films include The Dark Knight, Stranger Than Fiction, Sherrybaby, and Secretary. She will soon be seen in Hysteria opposite Hugh Dancy.

Sarsgaard's many film credits include An Education, Shattered Glass, Kinsey, and Green Lantern.

The couple wed in 2009 and are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Ramona.
