Gabriel Kahane, Young Jean Lee Set for Public Theater’s Forum The Culture Capital: Is New York City Still A Home For Artists?

The Public Theater will continue its 2011-2012 Public Forum season of lectures, debates, and conversations with The Culture Capital: Is New York City Still A Home For Artists?, May 7 at 8 pm in the Newman Theater. Director of the Aspen Institute Arts Program Damian Woetzel will moderate.

The event will include a roundtable discussion with culture writers from New York Magazine, Kurt Andersen, Justin Davidson, Amy Larocca, and Jerry Saltz, about the changes they’ve seen in the city’s creative life. Then, there will be a conversation about living and working in New York with young artist including Gabriel Kahane, Young Jean Lee, Kalup Linzy, and Emma Straub.

Kahane and Seth Bockley will also talk about their new musical February House and perform a song from the show.
