Celeste Holm Set for Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Gentlemen’s Agreement Event

Celeste Holm will be the special guest at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 65th anniversary screening of Gentleman’s Agreement, which will be part of its “Monday Nights with Oscar®” series, and held at the Academy Theater at Lighthouse International in New York City on Monday, April 23 at 7pm.

The 1947 film is the story of a journalist who adopts a Jewish identity to expose anti-Semitism in post-World War II America.

Holm earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the film. The actress has numerous Broadway credits, beginning in 1938 when she appeared in Gloriana, with her most recent Broadway appearance in 1991, in I Hate Hamlet.
