Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s Really Useful Group has sold the West End’s Palace Theatre to Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer’s Nimax Theatres, according to WhatsOnStage.com.

The Palace is currently home to the musical, Singin’ in the Rain, based upon the classic 1952 MGM film. Among the other shows to have played the venue are the recently shuttered London production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical; the smash hit Les Miserables, which played a 19-year run at the venue prior to transferring to the Queen’s Theatre; and Lloyd Webber’s own Jesus Christ Superstar.

With the addition of the nearly 1400-seat Palace, Nimax now owns six West End venues, inclusive of the Apollo Theatre, Duchess Theatre, Garrick Theatre, Lyric Theatre, and Vaudeville Theatre.
