Throughout the year, AEA will present other initiatives to celebrate American theater, including Behind The Curtain, a travelling exhibit designed by world renowned architectural firm HWKN to create public awareness of theater and its benefits to American culture. In September, Applause Books will publish Robert Simonson's Performance of the Century: 100 Years of Actors' Equity Association and the Rise of Professional American Theatre.
In addition, AEA will present a Round Table Series of interactive discussions offering behind-the-scenes insights from celebrated theater professionals, scheduled in cities across the country. Another initiative, The Narrative Project, an online, multimedia personal history of live theater through the eyes of its members and supporters, is currently available online.
Supporting the anniversary initiatives is the 100 for 100 Honorary Committee, which is comprised of notable union members such as Neil Patrick Harris, Hugh Jackman, Patti LuPone, Matthew Morrison, Daniel Radcliffe, and more.
