Tituss Burgess, Telly Leung, Ann Sanders, et al. Set for TOMO YO Benefit at Joe’s Pub

Tituss Burgess, Telly Leung, Ann Sanders, Jennifer Sanchez, and George Takei will be among the participants in TOMO YO “MY FRIEND” – A Benefit for Japan to be held at Joe’s Pub on Friday, April 29th at 11:30pm. The evening, which will benefit AmeriCares, will also feature a special video message from Joe Jonas of The Jonas Brothers.


The event will also feature a number of young theater companies, singers, writers, and artists who will create a tapestry of new songs and scenes in response to the recent events in Japan, including Brooklyn Soundpainting Company, 2G featuring d’Artagnan and Matt Park, The Movement Theatre Company and Kristine Haruna Lee, Misa Ogasawara, Mahina Movement, and Alexander Rovang.


There will also be the presentation of a new short play by 2011 GLAAD Media Award winner Harrison David Rivers, to be directed by Colette Robert? and featuring Lauren Hines, Christopher Larkin, Casey Robinson, and Jehan O. Young.


A live Karaoke Pre-Show kicks off the evening at 11pm, hosted by Brooke Ishibashi and featuring Jennifer Sanchez and Louise Stewart.
