PHOTO FLASH: The 25th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition

The 25th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition, which is the culmination of six weeks of fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, was held at the Minskoff Theatre on Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26.

This year, 52 Broadway, Off-Broadway, and touring shows participated in the fundraising efforts, collecting over $3.7 million for the cause. Among the top fundraisers were both national tours of Wicked, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, That Championship Season, and Billy Elliot.

A total of 17 shows participated in the Bonnet competition, with the award for Bonnet Design going to Broadway’s Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, and the award for Best Presentation being given to La Cage Aux Folles.

Celebrities who participated in the April 17 show included Daniel Radcliffe, Sutton Foster, Harvey Fierstein, Christopher Sieber, Robin Williams, Judith Light, Dan Lauria, Heidi Blickenstaff, Roger Rees, Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Maxwell Caulfield, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jayne Houdyshell, Ron Kunene, Christie Brinkley, and Kerry Butler.
