New York Theater Workshop (NYTW) has announced two additional selections for its 2011-2012 season.

One addition to the season is Lameece Issaq’s play about a young Palestinian woman who is cooking for her younger sister’s wedding, Food and Fadwa, which has been conceived and developed with Jacob Kader and will be directed by Shana Gold. The presentation will be a co-production between NYTW and NOOR Theatre.

Also newly announced is Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson’s one-person interpretation of Homer’s epic poem about the Trojan War, An Iliad. Peterson will stage the production, which will feature O’Hare and Stephen Spinella, who will alternate in the piece.

As previously reported, the company’s season will begin with Elevator Repair Service’s The Select – The Sun Also Rises, which is based on Ernest Hemingway’s classic novel, in September and is directed by John Collins. A fourth production will be announced in the near future.
