The nominations for the 2011 BAFTA TV Awards have been announced. The prizes will be presented in a ceremony to be held on Sunday, May 22 at London's Grosvenor House. Graham Norton will host the event.

A quartet of stage veterans have been nominated for the Leading Actor Award - Jim Broadbent for Any Human Heart, Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock, Daniel Rigby for Eric and Ernie, and Matt Smith for Doctor Who.

In the Leading Actress category, theater performers Anna Maxwell Martin, nominated for South Riding and Juliet Stevenson, nominated for Accused, are competing alongside Vicky McClure and Natalie Press.

FOX's hit series Glee is one of four nominees for the BAFTA TV International Award, along with HBO's Boardwalk Empire, AMC's The Killing, and Mad Men.

The Specialist Factual category includes a nomination for Alan Bennett and the Habit of Art (The Making of), focusing on the playwright's work.

Other notable nominees are Gillian Anderson, Lynda Baron, Jo Brand, Steve Coogan, Brendan Coyle, Martin Freeman, Stephen Fry, Tom Hollander, Lauren Socha, and Jessie Wallace, as well as Norton.
